FOXTON-'RACES.
The Eoxton Racing Club's meeting, will open at Fox ton to-day, when the principal event to bo decided will be the Foxton Cup. for which a good field is promised.. Special train .arrangements are advertised in connection /with the meeting. Our special correspondent, telegraphing from Foxton last-night, states that Courtley struck himself on Tuesday, and was not taken' to the-mceting with the other members of F. Higgott's Otaki team. Gold Rush, who is engaged in the Trial Stakes, is a two-year-old by Gold Crest, fwm Mahutonga's sister, Heatherlea. Jockeys W. and C. Price are coming up. to Foxton to ride on the second day of tho meeting (says our correspondent). • It. is reported that Multiply made a hack of Yi before leaving Hastings, and will nrobably start fa.vourite-in the Foxton Cup. . Tree Lucerne and Rigo Tark have been withdrawn from all engagements at tho meeting. . .
