» . THE RUNA TURNS TURTLE. . A few yacht races were got off tindet tho auspices of the Hcretaunga Boating Club, Petono, on Saturday. In the event for 14-footers, the following started:—Gil Blas(7min.), Marguerite (scr.), Miro (2min.), Ruiia (scr.), The sea was somewhat choppy, but all went well until tho Miro and Runa, the leading yachts, rounded the distance-buoy, when by some- means tho latter capsized. Immediately the rest camo to her assistance, and righted and towed her to tho island, whero she was eventually fixed up. Her crow did not seem daunted by their sudden bath, but the race, obviously, was then "off." . Tho 18-foot race resulted as follows: —Spray (smin.), 1; Illinois (scr.), 2; Winsome (lmin.), 3. Also started: Irox (scr.), 4; Una (scr.), 5; Nautilus (scr.), 6.
