DR. ADENEY'S VISIT.
The Rov. "Walter Frederick Adeney, M.A. (London), D.D. (St. Andrew's), ex-chairman of the Congregational Union of Eneland and Wales, who arrives in Wellington to-day on a brief visit, was educated at New College, and for several years (1872-89) was minister of Acton Conpreentional Church. For fourteen years (1889-1903) he was Professor of New Testament Esejosis and Church History at New Collcgo, rmd Lecturer at Hackney Collect* (18391903), and Principal of Lancashire College, and Lecturer in the History of Doctrine at Manchester University for some'ten yearn, 1903-13. His publications incliido tho fnllowing :—"The Theolocv of the New Testament," a work which hns been translated into .Tnnanesn. and is used as a text-book: "From Christ; to Constontinc," "From Constantino to Charles' tho Great." "Women of the Now Tosfnment," "How to B"ad tho Bible." "A Centurv's Progress." "Tho Knw Testament Doctrine of Clirist.. , '' "The Christian's Conception of God," "HiFtory of tho Greek and Eastern Imrchos." Hr, Adeney's recreation is gordcuiii".
