DR. ADENEY'S VISIT.

The Rov. "Walter Frederick Adeney, M.A. (London), D.D. (St. Andrew's), ex-chairman of the Congregational Union of Eneland and Wales, who arrives in Wellington to-day on a brief visit, was educated at New College, and for several years (1872-89) was minister of Acton Conpreentional Church. For fourteen years (1889-1903) he was Professor of New Testament Esejosis and Church History at New Collcgo, rmd Lecturer at Hackney Collect* (18391903), and Principal of Lancashire College, and Lecturer in the History of Doctrine at Manchester University for some'ten yearn, 1903-13.
