CIVILIAN MARKERS.
REQUIRED FOR D.R.A. MEETING.
iSiFor .the Dominion Rifle.. Association .meeting, which takes'place at Trentham next mouth, civilian markers.-will be required. This is a new departure, aa in. the past tho it.N.#.A. havo supplied the men to score, Tho Artillerymen arc not .available this year,'and-other steps have had to bo taken. Soffio fifty men will bo required, and they will havo to bo competent markers. Already applications for positions have been received by Captain J. > Roaeho,' secretary of tha D.R.A., and it is not anticipated that any trouble will be ox-pc-ri'enced, in filling tho vacancies. It is estimated that the new dopnrturo will cost the association about £300. Dur ; ing the past the Artillerymen received ;fll for tho meeting, and bed and food. Civilian markers will need to be paid about 12s. 6d. per day.
