Agar, who was elected president of tlio Watersiders' Union last night, declines to discuss the position, but states that ho will do his best to secure peaceful-conduct of the worli on the wharres. . . Complaint has beon. mado of exstrikers abusing and insulting arbitrationists with tho object of forcing them out of employment, but inquiries do not suggest that tho trouble is serious. A largo number of strike-breakers intend leaving tlio wharves in any case after the withdrawal of the houseboat To Anau. The departure of tliis vessel has now been postponed until later in tho month.
A large body of watersiders was employed again to-'day.
