LIVE STOCK SALES.

MeMJ. W. and G. Turnbull atid. Co,, Ltd., report having held their weekly «ale in their Waipoua (Masterton) saleyarde .on Wednesday, when they, offered a, very good varding of shoep and an extra, heavy yardin" of cattle well above advertised numbers. Thero was a very good attendance of buyers, and bidding being keen the whole yarding of ehoe-p and,_the bulk of the cattle entry changed hands at very satisfactory prices to vendors. The lines of steers ofEered on account of Mr. O. Isickson, of Ha6tvrcll, were fold as follow ■.—Four-yoa.r steers, £8 45.; three-year steers, £7; two and a half-year steers, £5 Eo.; two-year steer 3, £3 18s.; other prices realised were as follow:—Fat forward ewes, ''129.-3d., 133. 6d., to 14s. <7d.; fat lambs, 165.; forward lambs, 13s. to 13s 6d.; fat wethers, 18s. 6d.; b.f. lambs, 10s.; old store ewes, 6s. to 95.; forward cows, £4 5?., £4 12.?., to. £5; store cows, £3 2s. to £3 10s.; springing heifers, £4 3s. 6d.. £5 10s., to £6 175.-6 d.; two-year heifers, £3 16s. to £4 55.: yearling heifers. £2 10s.; fat heifers, £5 165.;. twoyear steers, £4 Ea .to £4 155.: 18-month steers, £3 53.; ycOTling steers, £2 to £2.6s ; old cows and calves, £2 145.; weancr calves. £1 6s. to £1 95.; poor condition, 16s. 6d.

Messrs. Dalgety and Company, Limited, report:—At our Wanganui sale we yarded 250 cattle and 700 sheep. The cattle were nrincir-ally comprised of station liner, of bullocks or, account of Mr. H. V. Hammond and Mr. W. S. Glenn. Both, linos were of good nuality, and were yarded in excellent condition, and met -.with a keen demand from a good attendance of bnyere. We quote :-On account-Mr. W. S.
