WORK ON THE WHARF.
AN AGREEMENT AT AUCKLAND. (By Tel«*ra&h—Pr«* ARseclalioa.) Auckland, January 8. Thirteen hundred wharf workers were present, at a meeting at which an agreement was adopted en block; the chief clauses providing for tb.fi original rates of pay, with an increase of twopenco an hour, preference to the first 451 who joined tho union. A four-fifths majority is necessary to decide upon a strike, and six weeks' notice' must bo given of intention to cease work.
