After six days , fighting tho battle at Ojinada closed indecisively. (Rec. January 7, 11.35 p.m.) Mexico City, January 7. liie rebels captured a train in the neighbourhood of Espirutu Santo, when approaching La Honda. Another party of rebels, thinking that it contained Federal troops, blow up tho entiro train with dynamite, killing 80 rebels.
DIPLOMATS IN HARMONY. Washington, January 7. _The State Department officials at Washington and the foreign Ambassadors are consulting frequently with regard to the Mexican imbroglio. The general attitude of the foreign diplomats is understood to he that tho United States should bo free to allow the application of any policy which it thinks fit, provided that she protects the lives and the large material interests of tho foreigners throughout Mexico. It is understood that general approval has been accorded to tho present policy which is being pursued bv tho United States. President Wilson is still staying at Pass Christian, enjoying his vacation. Ho has no further statement to make regarding Mr. Lind's visit.
