AMATEUR ATHLETICS.
A special meeting of tho council of tho N.Z.A.A.A. was held last evening. There were present Mr. A. Marryatt (in the chair), Messrs! J. H. Pollock, W. P. Larkin,. A. Davis, C. E. Bridge, and W. 11. Poilock. The team selected by Messrs. Bridge and Pollock, vis:., Dormer (middlo distance), Cashhian (walks), M'Holm (hammer), , KcddeH (hurdles), Beatson (distance), .was approved. The men, except Beatson, will ccnipeto at the Exhibition sports at Auckland on January 10, and.leave for Sydney on Jnauarv 12. Beat-son will leave Dunedin for Melbourne via Bluff on January 12. The Now Zealanclers will assemble at Melbourne- on January 20. It was resolved that Mr. W. tt. Pollock Jro appointed manager of tho team (subject to liis consent). It was deeided to telegraph to tho Canterbury Centre requesting that their contribution to the American tour bo forwarded forthwith. Richard Adams was reinstated ,is from date, on the recommendation of the Auckland Centre. ,\V. E. Cox was requested to apply again in two years from tho date of his last perfernimieo (April, 1912);
