Tlieso obstacles, he. alleged, had now been overcome, inasmuch as tho farmers had shown themselves to be greatly in favour of the Arbitration Act and Arbitration •TJniqiis. It was resolved that a union ■bo formed under the Arbitration Act, to be called tho "Wellington '-Rural ■Workers' Industrial Union of Workers," to comprise"*" ploughmen, shepherds, drovers, musterers, . threshinghill hands, scrub-gutters, station and farm workers, milkers, fencers, bushmen, inbbiters, cooks, and , others connected with farm life. Mr. M. Laiacy was elected interim .secretary. A set of rules for the government of tho ■union was adopted.
