MASTERTON.

At a largely-attended meeting of farm labourers held bore.last night it was decided to form a Farm Labourers' Union in the district, and to register it as such. The AVairarapa Polo Club played another series of matches on the grounds at Te Ore Ore yesterday. Polo is becoming very popular in this district. Harvesting is now in full swing, and crops promise well, notwithstanding the severe weather of November and early December. Tlio total rainfall registered in Masterton for the month of December was o.IG inches, compared with 88 points for the sarao month in the previous year. The total rainfall for the year was 40.20 inches, compared with 48.70 inches for the year 1912. The Baptist Church has decided to discontinue operations in Mastcrton, and Fastor Swiuerd will be leaving at the end of the present month.
