« WHERE ROMULUS BUILT HIS CITY. By Tclegraph-Prcss Association-Copyricht Rome, January 2. Commander Giacomo Boni, Director of the excavations in the Roman Forum and on tho Palatine, has discovered in tho centre of tho Palatino area a, monument that marked tho seat of tho city reputed to have been founded, according to Roman legend, by Romulus in 753 B.C. Marcus Varro, tho famous scholar and author, mentions that a monument was erected on the spot.
