CARDINAL RAMPOLLA'S MISSING WILL. STRANGE STORIES. REPORTED EXHUMATION OF THE BODY,

It is stated that -Princess Aiticri's husband, Duke of Campobello, and nephew of tho late Cardinal Kampolla, is confined in a lunatic asylum. Owing to ail allegation that she forged Cardinal Rampolla's signatures lo bills of oxchange, ail intimate friend < f tho Cardinal states that tho. 1910 will provided for tho Princess's children, and also for a largo sum to the Pope. It is reported that Cardinal Kampolla's sister. Baroness Pezzana, tho sister who benefits under the earlier will, was present at the Cardinal's houso tho night he died.
The "jVlessagero" states that the Court has ordered tho exhumation of Cardinal Rampolla's body on tho ground that his suspicious sudden death may be connected with the disappearance of tho will. ■
Other reports state that two nuns, when laying out the body, saw a box taken from beneath tho pillow. They did not know that it contained the will. "Timos"—Sydney "Sun" Special Cables. (Bee. December 29, 6.10 p.m.) Rome, December 28. The newspapers general!/ ridicule the story of the proposed exhumation of tho body of tho late Cardinal Rampolia. Tho Vatican plainly states that it will not make any difficulties in tho event of the civil authorities requiring an investigation. Cardinal Rampolla's trill, mado in 3859, leaving' .£40,000 to his sister, has not been granted probate, owing to the impending litigation. Princess Alticri, wifo of tho Duke of Campobello, tho Cardinal's nephew, from whom she is living apart, claims the existence of a later will in favour of her sons, and that she is their guardian. A search previously made for tbo document, however, proved fruitless.
