MISSIONS TO SEAMEN.
. "A- delightful day was spent on Boxing Day by some 04 seamen, who, with a party of the workers oi' the Missions to Seamen, took train to Ivhandallah for a day's' outing. The fine weather and pleasant surroundings enabled the men to enjoy themselves to their heart's content. A liberal programme of sports was indulged In, tho men never seeming to tire. ■.Dinner and tea wore served under the shade of the trees. One and all were emphatic that the day was "tho best yet."., The return journey was enlivened .by the latest, topical songs and mirth"'and*music reigned at the Institute till a late hour. Yesterday Sunday "old year,i- services" were held at tho .Institute', with encouraging attendances of seamen: ■ The Missioner, Mr. James Cocks, preached, and Sir. A. F. Wilson presided fit the organ, while Mr. O. Hersee read the lesson, the. two latter gentlemen eomiyg from the s.s. Muritai. Tho. oveiiing closed" with a service ■of hymn and sarol singing. ~■ ■... ;<
