He had 110 faith. ho continued, in the suggested friendly conference between representatives of India, South Africa, and England at London. Ho urged, the Indians to ignore the Union Government in South Africa, He bad more faith in retaliation, including tho boycott of Natal coal. Lord Harelinge (Viceroy of India), in bis reply to the Indian deputation's address of welcome, strongly urged the leaders in South Africa to aceept tho Commission. Ho described the president as a Judge of Appeal, who was universally esteemed and respected. Cape Town, December 27. 'file Union Attorney-General has decided not to prosecnto Albert West, tho acting-editor of tho Indian vernacular journal in Durban, who was arrested for harbouring indentured immigrants on his farm during the recent 1 Vidian passive resistors' rising.
