A meeting of poultrymen: was hold in' tho Poultry Association's rooms, Blair Street, last evening, for the purpose of drawing lip a programme for the poultrymen's 'conference to be held in Wellington during Easter. Mr. A. G. Mumby presided, and t'hero was an attendance.of eight. It was decided that thoso present' should form themselves into a coiiferenco committee. Mr. A. G. Mumby was appointed secretary pro tem, and tile meeting then drew up a programme with a view to forming a programme to bo submitted to the executive of the Poultrymen's Association of New Zealand.

A former resident of Tokomaru, Mr. Robert Griffiths Perreau, was ono of tho successful applicants for tho twenty free blocks of land offered to settlers in tho-Northern Territory by the Federal Government.
