NEW TAUPIRI MINES UNION.
DULY REGISTERED. (By ToleCTaph.—Pre33 Association.) Auckland, December 19. It is announced that tho president of tho new union at Huntly is Mr. S. Dixon, and tho secretary Mr. A. A. Stewart. Since tho announcement was made a fow days ago that a now union had been registered many doubts have been expressed as to tho truth of tho statement. The president and secretary returned to Huntly to-day, and, when asked, promptly produced the certificate of registration. It sets out that the new union Was registered under tho stylo of the Tnupiri Coal-mino Workers' Industrial Union of Workers on December 13 last. Asked whether a new agreement had been made, tho president replied in tho affirmative, butstatedi that no information on this point could yet. be niado public. The following notice, signed by the president, and secretary of tho new union, has been inado public:—"As all applications for membership to the Taupiri Coal-miuo Workers' Union must bo submitted to tho cxecutivo, written applications must bo in tho hands of the secretary on or beforo December 27."
