The conference of tlio Public Service Associations of tho Commonwealth and New Zealand hiis concluded, It was decided to form a grattd council of tho associations to'deal with mat' ters of common interest. Resolutions were carried, in favour of a forty-eight-hour week, advertising all vacancies for positions, and giving officers against whom adverse reports aro made full opportunity of rebuttal. It was decided that tho Commonwealth and the Now Zealand rules of sick pay be adopted. Other resolutions dealt with tho questions of annual and long leave, working hours, and overtime, with a view to securing uniformity.

Mr. J. J. Russell represented New Zealand.
