OBITUARY.
THE LATE MRS. BALFOUR. Many people in various parts of the Dominion will deeply grievo to hear of the death of Mrs. T. \\. Balfour, which took place in Wellington-on Wednesday afternoon, 'after an illness lasting for more than two months. Mrs. Balfour was the second daughter of the late Mr. Robert -Bidwill, the original owner of ■l'ihautea Station. Featherstxm, and the widow of the late Mr. T. W. Balfour, manager of the Bank of New Zealand ill Napier, in which town she lived for fully thirty-Sivo years after her marriage. Her husband prc-deceased her about two years ago. Tho late Mrs. Balfour had many friends,- bv whom slio was much loved, scattered throughout New Zealand, and there are many who can speak of her generosity of'heart and of her sympathy and lrelp in troubled times. Her death was all tho sadder in that she had been looking forward with tho greatest keenness to a visit to England, and had intended leaving very shortly. Two daughters and four sons survive her. She was buried very quietly at Featherston yesterday. ' i
