4 — ■ PAYMENT OF FEES. M-j A meeting of the Victoria College Councii was held last night. .There were present: Mr. H. H. Ostler (chairman), Sir Robert Stout, Dr. Prouder* gast Knight, Rev. W. A. Evans, Messrs. T. R. Flemmina, W. Ferguson, J. G. W. Aitken, C. Watson, W. H. Morton, C. B. Morison. and C. Wilson. The Finance Committee reported having heard tho chairman of the Professorial Board on the proposed alteration in tho regulation for tho payment. 1 of 1 fees and submitted to tho council an 1 amended proposal, iis follows:— "Class fees may be paid in two ! instalments, one at the beginning of each term (in 1014 at the beginning of each 1 of the first two terms). Enrolment in", a class shall be regarded as rendering-, the student- liable lor both instalments, provided that the sctond. instalment; may be remitted, 011 application to the Professorial Board, in the ease of ii student who ceases to attend, tho lectures. For reasons satisfactory to tho hoard, cards of enrolment obtained from tlio Registrar on payment of fees (or first instalment thereof) must be handed to the professors (or lecturers); and attcndauco will be debarred if the card of enrolment shall not have been given j in aftor two weeks' lectures.
