Tho proprietress of the Kow Gardens tea pavilion has sued Miss Olivo Wharry and Miss Lilian Lcuton, Suffragettes, for damages for burning the pavilion. One of tho defendants admitted firing tho building. The case was settled, the Suffragettes paying compensation. A timber yard at Dcvc.uport was burned, the damace done being estimated at £12,000. A notice was tied to the post, bearing tho wards: "Revenge, for Mrs. Pankhurst's arrest." A meeting of the Women's Social Pankhurst Union sent a telegram to the King" imploring Mrs. Pankhurt's release. Miss Sylvia Pankhurst has been released.
