—, — Mr. Edwin Kilpatrick. announces a short season in Wellington of the famous spiritual painting, "Tho Shadow of lhe Cross," opening next Monday in a studio in Panama Street, 'opposite tho D.I.C. Continuous receptions will bo heid daily from 1 to 5 o'clock. The picture is a life-sized representation of tho Christ Man, which is viewed in tlio utter, darkness. Those Who first enter the- studio can see nothing for at least five minutes, when thejihenome-' no'i is aee'ii, lirst ris a slight hatfe, which increases to that of a pale moonlight, in which is seen the outline of tlic- figure of Christ as seen in tho light, while above and behind him is a dark cross, which docs not appear in tho picture when the lights are turned on. Sixpence for. adults and threepence for children will bo charged to defray expenses. .-..- . , . •
