LEEDS MUNICIPAL STRIKE. Br Telegraph—Press Associotion—Copyriqht (Rec. December 1, 0.5 a.m.) London, December 15. The streets of Leeds arc nnswept and unlit. Many of tho churches dispensed with their evening servico yesterday. Civilians are maintaining; a limited gas supply, and an effective electric tram service in the daytime. 'Iho strikers threaten to block the coal supplies. The municipality contends that the strikers are well paid, the majority of tho gas-workers arc receiving from 255. to 41s. a week; street cleaners, 255. to 315.; electricity workers, 275. to 395.; and highway employees, 265. to 395.
