800 MILES WORK FOR A , BRITISH COMPANY. By Telegraph—Press Association —Oopyri&fct (Rec. December 16, 1.10 a.m.) London, December 15. The Peking Government is signing a contract with Pauling and Company, of London, for the construction of an 800mile line of .railway, from Sliansi, in tho province of i Uupf'Ji, to Ssing-y-Fu, in the province'of Kwei Chow, via Chang.tch atul Changsha. The agreement provides that the construction work shall bo by contract. Also Messrs. Pauling aro raising loans to defray the cost of tho projected line, which links up Hankow with the distant provinces by connecting with the future French Yunnan-Nanning-Fti line.
