LAND SETTLEMENT IN RHODESIA.
CUTTING-UP POLICY URGED. By TrioiraiTi—Press Areoci.n.Uoa—Copyright Johannesburg, Deconiber 14. A meeting at Rhodesia, after a rambling and confused discussion, practically rescinded tlio motion condemning tlio South African Chartered Company. It passed a resolution that the taxation of undeveloped land was desirable, and that the Land Board be urced to cut up land. The meeting insisted on tho Legislative Council wholly controlling the proceeds of tho tax. Maslionaland is hesitating in its unqualified antagonism to a renewal of tho company's charter, owing to tho inevitable leading of its inclusion in tho South African Union.
