A few days ago a cable message was received to the effect that the Union liner Moan.i had wnt a wireless message stating that eleven of tho crew of tho schooner Alvareilo (?), bound to Antofafjasta, wore marooned on Easter island. After abandoning the schooner the contain and several volunteers sailed the lifeboat to Papeete, leaving the others io await rescue.
