Tlicro was a noisy meeting of tlio Oil Trust shareholders. fl'ho meeting appointed a, committoo to: consult with tho directors respecting now business and any proceedings respecting tho money which lias been lost. A resolution urging a reduction of tho capital was postponed. .The directors of tho Oil Trust, which was created in 1010, awl which is largely interested in the Taranaki Oil Wells Company. Limited, have advised the shareholders that at least half the subscribed capital has been lost, chiefly due to disastrous loan transactions.
