COLOURLESS REPORTS.
BY INSPECTORS OF SCHOOLS. (By Telegraph.—Special Correspondent.) Palmarston N., Dcecmbor 12. Tim colourlessness of school inspectors' reports was the suhjeefc of sharp criticism by the High School Governors on Thursday. A demand was voiced for something more than more details of tlio books used, tlio arrangement of classes, the names of the tcaclicrs in charge, etc. —in fact, for something to 'show tlio board how tlio school was progrossing, its methods, and whether they were satisfactory.
The acl'ing-rector (Mr. Murray) said that the reports were on the usual linos, and bo doubted if more could bo got under existing conditions. One of the governors (Mr. T. E. Hodder) advocated submitting the matter to the various Iligh School Hoards for joint action.
The matter was deferred pending the return of tlio rector (Mr. Vernon).
