A spccial mooting of the Flaxmillers' Association was held to-day to consider tho Government offer of a bonus of £12,000 for improved flaxmilling machinery. Thcro are 40 applicants for the bonus. A cojnmittce was 1 sot up to examine applications and to test such of tho competing machines or processes as were considered Worthy of trial, and to make a recommendation to the Government as to payment of tho bonus. A committco was also appointed to arrange for power. It was decided that the committco would bo ready for the inspection of machinery from tho third Monday in January to April 31).
