Mr. Hugh Formby, a well-known athlete and formerly ■tutor to Mr. Samuel Hill-Wood, sued Mr. Hill-Wood for £600 per annum, which the latter settled on Formby in 1900 to enable him to marry, and in which Mr. Hill-Wood pleaded undue influence, the jury found that Mr. Formby exercised influence, but not such as to preclude tho exercise of freo and deliberate judgment. Tho effect of the verdict will bo argued on Thursday.
