PAHIATUA SHOW.
Tito prize .schedule of the Paiiiatun-Akit-io Agricultural and Pastoral Asso; ciation's fifth annual show,, to be held at Pahiatua on ■Wednesday, January 14, 1914, discloses tho' fact that the association is launching out on a more cstensiro'scale- than in previous years. The prize-money in many instances has been substantially increased, and classes for pigs and dogs arc added to the programme. The cattlo section includes classes, for Holsteins and Jerseys. There are four jumping competitions: tho maiden hunters', tho ladies' limiting competition, the open hunters' competition fof £25), and the consolation jump. Kach year has scon a- steady increase in tho society's membership list. Tho secretary of the association is Mr. J. A. "Walsh, from whom prize schedules may bo obtained.
