Commenting on-the New Zealand defeneo policy, t' lo "Sydney Morning Herald" ' says that tho Now Zealand Government is wiso in drawing attention to tho growth of national Imperial consciousness which is likely to result from the development of the naval force 'of tho Dominion, and tho military schemes of both tho Commonwealth and New Zealand, which should do much to bind all classes together in a common desiro to servo their land. Thus a sense of common nationhood should be stimulated and should thrive.
