DUNEDIN SEAMEN.
MAINLY ON RELIEF FUNDS. (By 'Telegraph.—Press Association.) Dunedin, December 8. Tlio adjourned ordinary meeting of tho Seamen's Union was hold this afternoon. There was a good attendance, and so far as can bo gathered, tho best of harmony did not prevail at times. This was duo mainly to tho presence of a small but noisy section of_ firemen and men from "down under." Ono result of tho meeting was thai a committee was appointed to deal with tlio question of relief pay. Members of this committee conferred to-night- with tho Strike Committee, and two representatives of tho Carters' Union. The subject of the conference was to decide as to the disposal of tho relief funds, but tho outcome of tho meeting is uot known.
