The handwriting indicates that several people had a hand in tho concoction of tho letter. Tlio strikers at the Puponga coal mine are very sore over tho removal of coal stored iu tho bins by the scow Pearl Kaspar. The skipper outwitted „tho pickets by slipping in at 2 a.m., when only the policeman was visible, tho pickets having gone to bed about an hour previously, satisfied that no attempt would ho mado to tako tlio coal. The Pearl Kaspar's crcw loaded tho seventy tons available, and was ready to sail when tho strikers made their appearance at tlio wharf, and forcibly expressed their indignation.
