A. striking urticle in the "None Swicner Tagblatt" suggests tho signing of a convention, covering a fixed number of years, for the establishment of a benevolent neutrality between Great Britain and Austria-Hungary in the event of any Mediterranean conflict-. Tho Aust-ro-Hungarian Navy, it is pointed out, will soon be equal to tho British Navy in tho Mediterranean; hence the agreement could bo based -on equal mutual value. The. maritime interests of Austria consist in guaranteeing the safety of the Adriatic, with a free passage through tho straits.
