Duncdin, Dicember 8. mooting oi tho Presbyterian: Church Hoard of Properly was hold to-day to applications -for tl.io position of Professor of Natural PliilnKrtphy in tho Otago University, anil that of Ptokmat oi Mental and Moral Philosophy. Twenty application*; were received for tho Chair of Natural 'Phjlo-Kpphy, and tho board decided to recommend Dr. Jack, Lcclttrer on Physics in the Belfast University, for appointment, For the Chair of Menial and Moral Philosophy ten applications were received, and the heard recommended Dr. Frank W. Dnnlop, of SytW ney, for appointment. Dr. Dunlop is ;i ■son of tho late Dr. Dunlop, who was for many years Professor in the Theological Hall of the Presbyterian (.'lunch in Dmiedin. The reeominemlatioiis will ho forwarded to the Synod of Otago awl Southland for concurrence.
