DUNEDIN WORKING QUIETLY.
WATERFRONT PROGRESS. (By Tilecraph.—Press Association.) Dunodfn, December 7. The Mnrere arrived from Lyttelton yesterday morning and discharging operations on her wero commenced in the afternoon. Operations were carried on on the Kaiapoi, Turakina, and Dorset all day. Tho Wanaka arrived with a cargo of sugar yesterday, but will not cfiinuionco to unload until tho Kaiapoi finishes, which will probably be to-morrow evening. The Storm will load cargo for northern ports to-mor-row. Alter finishing discharge the Kaiapoi will load 1500 tons of cargo for northern ports. Tho Dorset is loading some 20,000 "crates of rabbits as a portion of her I-lomo cargo, Hie Mayor of Port Chalmers (Mr. Mawson) is calling a meeting of business .peoplo of the, town for Tuesday 'evening to consider matters in conncc.Uou with tlio strike ami its effects.
