RAILWAY STRIKE SETTLED.
RESULT OF A CONFERENCE. By ffelccrußh—fresa Association—Copyright London, December 5.. A conference held at Swindon between. representatives of tho Great Western Railway Company and the National and local railwaymen's officials, has resulted in a settlement of 'the strike. Tho settlement stipulates that all the ■strikers, except James Reynolds, s'hall not be penalised. (Ree. December 8, 1.10 a.m.) , London, December 7. Tho .rail.ray conference at Swiiidon agreed to the following terms: — There should bo no employment for Reynolds or James; t'ho men promised not to strike in future without notice; no fines were imposed. They wero recommended to_ give a donation to tiio Swindon Hospital, 30,000 MINERS OUT. Thirty thousand colliers are idle in South Wales. EFFORT TO SETTLE DUBLIN TROUBLE. (Ree. December 8, 1.10 a.m.) London, Decembor 7. A trades union deputation Waited on tho employers at Dublin all night, but tho conference brought no result. The men demanded complete reinstatement, and tho masters refused.
