WOMEN ON MEN'S DRESS.
Tho opinion expressed by various ladies in tho Loudon press recently on how a man should dress were both amusing and illuminating. The consensus of opinion appears to he that ;i man's choice should bo restricted to: Dark blue or grey suit. Plain black or blue socks. Black tie, with small white spots. No monocle. No jewellery. Black boots (certainly no spats), llair brushed Uafc and never "frizzy." An irate malo who has entered tho lists on behalf of tho oppressed maio writes: "Wliilo wo regret i-lio somewhat restricted and -subdued choico sho offers us, we cannot help respecting her good intentions. I offer in all humility a fow ideas on how a woman should dress from a sober and moral point of view: "Plain drab costume, entirely disguising her figure, Tho drabber the better.
"Black pork-pio liat, with small wliito spots. "No jewellery. (What a saving!) "Pair of spectacles. "A virtuous umbrella. "Natural won! stockings aiid an eniire absence of embroideries. "Good, thick, black boots, with very low moral heels."
