NAVY LEAGUE.
A meeting of the Wellington Executive of the Navy I/eaguo was held last night, Mr. J. B. Harcnurt being in the chair. A draft of tho annual report was submitted and approved, and tho date and tho form of the annual meeting were left to Mr. Palmer to arrange with the local branch president. Several of tho headmasters sent in (lie results of the Navy Leaguo essay competition, "What Naval Disaster Would Mean to the Empire"; and the allocation of prizes was left in tho hands of the - secretary and the headmasters. Further rcsiills were promised by other schools. It was resolved to add the names of Cantab I!. L. Kvnlt and Major 1). M. Poison to the Executive Committee. The easli bahuico to credit of the branch was reported to bo £1'25 2s. I'd. Several inquiries were received as_ to enrolment in the Australian and New Zealand branches of the Navy.
