"SPECIAL'S" HORSE INJURED. •PLUNGES INTO A LORRY SHAFT. Another accident occurred to iho horso of a special consiablo ou'dmy outside the Harbour Hoard's! shed in Jervois Quay at 5 o'clock last evening. As n soction of tlio "specials" wens wheeling round on tho wood-blocks the horse ridden by S. C. Jackson began to pranco about as though frightened, and becoming almost unmanageable, it practically ran into the shaft of a lorry proceeding along tlio Quay. The result was a nasty deep wound in tlio flank, which bled profusely. Mr. Taylor, the veterinary surgeon attached to the camp at Jluckle Street, was summoned, and plugged tlio wound and Uitclied it up. Ho "stated that it was a rather ugly wound, hut- was not prepared to say how serious it is until he examines it today.
