A groat Bengali mooting has be<;n held isi tlio Town Hull, in connection with the South African trouble. The Maharajah of Burdivnn demanded 'a searching inquiry at Natal. Ho urged retaliation by repatriating every Indian. The Rov. Jfr, MiHnirn, a missionary, said tliorc bad bettor lie separation between England and her colonies, thr.n tbat the- colonies should bo allowed to perpetrate brutalities. The present movement, ho said, meant a great raco war in the future in the Empire. The audience was roused to such a pitch of emotion that the speeches were finally inaudible. There wero hysterical outbursts by the audience, recalling the revival meetings. A resolution was'passod thanking the. Viceroy for his intervention and protesting against the restrictions imposed on Indians in Smith Africa, and expressing indignation at the inhuman treatment meted out to tho strikers. Similar meetings were held in many places, which suggests that unless something is done to allay the growing excitement a crisis may bo apprehended. INDIANS HUNGER-STRIKING. Durban, December 4. Fifty Indians are hunger striking in Durban gaol, in order to obtain redress regarding the food and clothes supplied.
