At yesterday's meeting of tho Employers', Farmers', and Citizens' Defence Committee yesterday morning reference was made to the commendable attitude of the railway men in the present ii.ulus* trial crisis. The following resolution was passed:— * "That tlio executive ho instructed to send a letter to the Minister of Railways expressing tlio committee's pleasure at and of tho action of tlio railway men in loyally and efficiently carrying out their duties at the present time under great difficulties and stress."
