"THE MESSIAH."
O , It is expected that there will be a big rush for seats to-morrow morning when tho box plan for tho lioyal Choral Society's concert on December 15 openi at the Dresden at 9 o'clock. The society is sparing no expense to make this performance of "The Messiah" tho finest that has ever been given in tills City. The principals engaged to sing tho solos arc Madame Evelyn Solig, of Brisbane (soprano), Miss Mina C'aldoiv (contralto), Mr. Paul Bufault, tho French-Canadian, who will undertake the tenor solos, while the part of Christ will bo entrusted to the English baritone, Mr. Andrew Black. Tho chorus and orchestra, under the bat-on of Mr. Christian Hellemann, will total 330 members. A full rehearsal will bo held iii St. John's Schoolroom to-morrow night at 8 o'clock. For the convenience of suburban patrons, arrangements have boon made to delay the Hiitt and Johnsonvillo trains till after tho concert.
