Mr. William Redmond, Nationalist M.P., has arrived by the German mail steamer. hi an interview he said he anticipated that Homo Rule would be accomplished by Junu next. Ho did not think there was any chance of Lister being excluded from the Bill. He declared that a majority of the people d Ulster, e-iso a majority of the Ulster representatives in tho House of Commons, favoured Homo Rule, ami there was a strong and growing feeling amongst Protestant Ulster in favour of Home Rule. The talk of civil war Mas absurd. There might be a little rioting, but it wo'.ild lie confined to '.he southeast corner of Ulster. ALLEGED IMPROPER "TOAST." Lor.u'Dt>, December 1. The "Pall Mall Gazette" states that an inquiry is proceeding in connection with a report that an Knglish battalion stationed iu Ulster recently toasted Mr. Ijoiiar Law and Sir Edward Carson with enthusiasm. "FURTHER FROM PEACE." (Rec. December 2, 10.40 p.m.) if 1 London, December 2. Mr. William O'Brien, M.P. (Independent Nationalist), states that for some unexplained reason "we are further froiii,'peace since the Prime Minister's speech at Leeds than we were at his Ladybank speech. Mr. Asquith and- Mr. Bomir Law (Unionist Leader) are our best assets for peace, and it will be a tragedy if the means to secure peaco in Ireland cannot bo found."
