CRICKET, THE M'EVEDY CUP MATCH, What ss iiitoiidctl to bo an riinnial cricket fixture was initiated on Kelburno Park yesterday afternoon, when the present students of St. Patrick's College met the past students in friendly rivalry for possession of a haiidsqn«s chullengo cricket cup, presented by Dr. M'Evcdy and Mrs. M'Kvcdv for animal compstition. During tho "interval the playms were entertained at afternoon tea by Mr. and Mrs. Martin Kennedy. Alter an interesting game tho Old Boys proved victors by 100 runs to 10!). For tho winners, J. Quiiiu (31), G, Miller (US), F. Ryan (21), and Twohiil (23) did best with tho bat. F. Cullen (25), Pi. O'Doiioghuo (20), and W. Flanuigan (23) batted well for the losers. Cheers were given at the conclusion of. the gumo for Dr. and Mrs. M'Kvody and Mr. and Mrs, Kcnuody WEDNESDAY ASSOCIATION.
