Sir, —I notice that 111 your issue of this morning tho Secretary of the Harbour Board, in nursuanco of a resolution passed by the board, wroto to the ■Wellington Employers', Farmers', and Citizens' Defence Committee that 'the allotting of berths to the vessels and control of tho loading and discharging of vessels will bo entirely in tho hands of the board's officers, viz., the harbourmaster and wharfinger respectively. As tho Harbour Board has decided on tho terms quoted above, I would iiko to know: ; lf tho chairman of tho Harbour Board will again grant permission to the striko pickets to have tliojun of the wharves to assist (?) in maintaining law and order?—l am, etc., » "ANTI-FACIN G-BOTH-W A\ S."
