GUARD DUTY AT BUCKLE ST.
ARTILLERYMEN RELIEVED. Everything is quiet and orderly at the camp at Buckle Street —more quiet, in fact, every day. During yesterday afternoon fully half of those in camp mounted their horses, and, under special leave, rode out to Lyali Bay for exercise. A ; Yesterday morning the men of the New Zealand Royal Garrison Artillery were relieved from tho duty of guarding the approaches to tho camp at Tory and Taranaki Street. These men have been doing guard duty ever sinco tua first week of the strike, and 110 0110 has been allowed within tho lines wit-l-out showing a pass, 01- giving proof that ho has business to transact. Tho production of tho pass is also insisted 011 when passing out, as only those special incu who aro given leave may leave tho camp. The duty of keeping guard has been taken over by the mounted specials, under the samo strict orders which havo hitherto been observed by the Artillerymen. ■
