AT KABOBI PARK. The Wellington Motor Cycling Club opened its season on Saturday afternoon with ,i gymkhana at" Karori Park. Tho gymkhana had boon twico postponed, and conditions at mid-day oil Saturday threatened a third postponement. Tli'e weather, however, cleared up sufficiently to allow the- meeting to tako plane, and, at about 2.30, the procession left tho band rotunda at Jervois Quay for Karori. There- in spito of threaloning clouds and a piercing southerly wind alarge crowd of motorists, in motors, . cyclc-r;ar.«. side-cars, and cycles look part in the various events. During the afternoon occasion was. taken by the club's chairman (Mr. \Y. Tanner) to make a. presentation to Mr. Pliil England. Mr. England is a prominent nicmb'cf of the elub, and ho was presented with a case of cutlery as a mark of esteem on the occasion of his marriage.
