SUPREME COURT.
SITTINGS IN DIVORCE. Ilis Honour Mr. Justico Chapman presided over tlio sitting of tho Divorce Court yesterday morning. In tile case of Williams v. Williams, for dissolution of marriage on tlio ground of desertion, Mr. Jackson appeared for tho petitioner, and the rewas represented by Mr. A. Fair, who said tint no answer had been filed to tho petition, his appearance being.simply to move for an order for alimony. Having heard tlio cvidenco of petitioner and his daughter (who has been living with tho respondent), His Honour granted a decrec nisi, to be mado absolute in three months, Mr. Jackson consenting to an interim order for alimony at tho rato of 30s. weekly. ~ In tho case of Edith Sarah Stringer v. William Arthur Stringer, in which a decree nisi was granted on May 19 of this year, the decree was made absolute oil tho application of Mr. Jackson. An order was also mado giving petitioner tho custody of tho children.
